Pets

Pets faithfully fight beside you in battle, assisting with dealing direct damage to the enemy and/or healing you. Uncommon and Rare pets are sold in the Pet Stores found in every town. All pets require adequate Petmanship skill in order to be equipped. Pets are equipped in pet slots next to your head on the equipment page, and up to 2 can be equipped at any one time, one in each of two available pet slots. Level 10 Petmanship is required to use the first pet slot, and level 30 to equip a pet in the second pet slot. Although they have armor class ratings, pets cannot be attacked, cannot lose hitpoints, can neither die nor be incapacitated in any way, rendering their armor class ratings irrelevant. However, there is a delay in your pet attacking your enemy at the beginning of combat if you are encumbered. A pet's stats can be altered through Enchanting.
*Note on Damage: Some pets' primary function is healing, and this is shown by the mouse-over message Instead of attacking your enemy this pet heals you. If you are full health it will attack but for minimal damage. Such function is indicated by the note "(healing)" in the Damage column. Numbers shown are still damage range, however.
